Is Virtual Counselling the Right Solution For You?

How Does it Work?

  • When you book an appointment, you will receive a link for an online video chat from our highly secure health-focused virtual service provider Jane App.

  • Appointments can be online or by telephone - it is your choice.

  • We ask you to find a private space for your appointment and recommend a good Wi-Fi source for online appointments.  In case of any connection issues, please have a phone handy and, if necessary, we will proceed with a phone appointment.

The use of virtual counselling has been well studied, and one thing that we know is that for those who choose it, virtual counselling is a great option with very similar benefits to in-person counselling.

If you prefer in-person sessions, that is likely the best option for you, but there are several circumstances that make in-person meetings challenging, such as transportation times and cost, time away from work, childcare and other obligations. If this is your situation, then please consider a free 15-minute consultation to determine if virtual counselling is a suitable option for you.

In some cases, virtual counselling is not optimal. If you are in crisis, in great distress, or if you have experienced a recent trauma, it may be best for you to see what in-person services are available within your area.

Your safety and well-being are of the greatest importance!
